Hungary - The excavated houses, pits and graves at Füzesabony-Gubakút site
Within the ALPC period the existence of specialised buildings, such as residences of chiefs or religious leaders, has not yet been demonstrated. The general appearance of the houses and the associated finds seems relatively similar. The majority of the burials of this era contain grave goods, however an abnormally rich burial has not yet been found. Maybe we are not far from the truth when saying that there were no major social differences in relation to personal wealth. This infers a certain level of social equality. However this does not exlude the possibility that certain members of the community held special positions or undertook specialised roles, but these roles were more honourary.
